are usually three to four hours and the full-day packages are approximately
from 9:30am to 5:00pm with lunch plans of your choosing.
Q.
Can you also make packing and shipping arrangements?
A. Absolutely! New Orleans is world renowned for its wealth of collectible
treasures and has subsequently developed excellent professional packing
and shipping resources to assist with the movement of these rare and
often delicate pieces. Let's Go Antiquing! is thoroughly familiar
with the best and most reasonably priced companies in the area and can
handle all of the arrangements to have your purchases packaged, insured,
and shipped to your destination.
Q.
Would it be possible to extend my half-day trip?
A. Visitors to our city are often amazed at the wealth and diversity
of fine art, antiques, and collectibles available; and we often get
last minute requests to extend half-day trips. As long as there are
no scheduling conflicts, we will do everything possible to accommodate
these requests.

Are you able to accommodate non-English speaking visitors?
A. Yes! Let's Go Antiquing! can, for an additional fee, arrange
to have a translator accompany you or your group during our shopping
tours.
Q.
I don't plan to be in New Orleans, but can you assist in long distance
shopping?
A. Certainly! Let's Go Antiquing! not only takes individuals
and groups on customized guided shopping tours, we also offer full-service,
long-distance shopping assistance. Simply send us the particulars
of the items of interest (Period, Style, Size, etc.) and we can
research the local resources, send digital or print photos with
dimensions and cost info, make the purchase, and have your selection
professionally packed, insured, and shipped. The fee for this service
is the same as for our guided shopping tours - one hundred dollars
per hour ($100.00/hr) with a three-hour minimum.
Q.
What time do the shops in New Orleans open?
A. The majority of the antiquing shops in the French Quarter open for
business at 9:30am and the shops on Magazine Street generally open at
10:00am. The shops are open Monday through Saturday, and a few on Sunday;
not very many have Sunday hours.

A. Yes, New Orleans
has a large number of artisans, craftsman, and conservators highly experienced
in the historical restoration of paintings, gildings, frames, linens,
and textiles. Let's Go Antiquing! maintains both a database and
a personal relationship with these talented individuals and can put
you in touch with the right person for the task.
